Rice University ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lar\u0131, bu maddeleri hem \u00e7ok daha h\u0131zl\u0131 filtreleyebilen hem de b\u00fcy\u00fck \u00f6l\u00e7\u00fcde par\u00e7alayabilen yeni bir malzeme geli\u015ftirdi.\u00a0Teflon&#8217;un 1938\u2019de geli\u015ftirilmesinden bu yana \u0131s\u0131ya, suya ve ya\u011fa dayan\u0131kl\u0131 kaplamalarda yayg\u0131n olarak kullan\u0131lan bu maddeler i\u00e7in\u00a0bak\u0131r-al\u00fcminyum bazl\u0131 filtre geliyor. <\/figure>\n<p><b>&#8220;Sonsuz kimyasallar&#8221; olarak bilinen PFAS nedir?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>4.700&#8217;den fazla kimyasal maddeden olu\u015fan perflorlu ve poliflorlu alkil maddeler (PFAS),\u00a0<strong>insanlarda ve \u00e7evrede zamanla biriken, yayg\u0131n olarak kullan\u0131lan, insan yap\u0131m\u0131 kimyasallar grubu<\/strong>. Bu kimyasallar, \u00e7evremizde ve v\u00fccudumuzda son derece kal\u0131c\u0131 olduklar\u0131 i\u00e7in &#8216; sonsuz kimyasallar &#8216; olarak biliniyor. Rice University&#8217;de g\u00f6rev yapan bir ara\u015ft\u0131rma ekibi ise, PFAS filtreleme s\u00fcrecini k\u00f6kten de\u011fi\u015ftirebilecek yeni bir malzeme geli\u015ftirdi.<\/p>\n<p>Bak\u0131r ve al\u00fcminyum temelli katmanl\u0131 \u00e7ift hidroksit (LDH) yap\u0131s\u0131na sahip bu filtre, uzun zincirli PFAS bile\u015fiklerini mevcut sistemlere g\u00f6re <strong>yakla\u015f\u0131k 100 kat daha h\u0131zl\u0131 absorbe<\/strong> edebiliyor. \u00dcstelik yaln\u0131zca yakalamakla kalm\u0131yor, bu maddelerin b\u00fcy\u00fck b\u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fcn\u00fc par\u00e7alayarak yok etmeye de yard\u0131mc\u0131 oluyor.<\/p>\n<p><b>Bak\u0131r-al\u00fcminyum,\u00a0100 kat daha h\u0131zl\u0131 filtre<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Kar\u015f\u0131la\u015ft\u0131rmak ad\u0131na, mevcut filtreleme \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fcmleri PFAS&#8217;\u0131 sudan ay\u0131rabiliyor, ancak bu kimyasallar daha sonra \u00f6zel tesislerde depolanmak zorunda kal\u0131yor. Tam imha i\u00e7in ise son derece <strong>y\u00fcksek s\u0131cakl\u0131klar<\/strong> gerektiren, maliyetli ve karma\u015f\u0131k termal i\u015flemler uygulan\u0131yor. Pozitif y\u00fckl\u00fc bu yap\u0131, negatif y\u00fckl\u00fc PFAS zincirleriyle daha kolay ba\u011f kurabiliyor. Bu sayede filtreleme h\u0131z\u0131 ciddi \u00f6l\u00e7\u00fcde artarken, i\u015flem verimlili\u011fi de y\u00fckseliyor. <\/figure>\n<p>Ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lara g\u00f6re PFAS&#8217;\u0131 &#8220;yok edilemez&#8221; k\u0131lan karbon-flor ba\u011flar\u0131, 400\u2013500\u00b0C gibi g\u00f6rece d\u00fc\u015f\u00fck s\u0131cakl\u0131klarda k\u0131r\u0131labiliyor. Bu s\u00fcre\u00e7te a\u00e7\u0131\u011fa \u00e7\u0131kan flor, LDH i\u00e7inde tutuluyor ve kalsiyumla ba\u011flanarak kalsiyum flor\u00fcr formuna d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015f\u00fcyor. Ortaya \u00e7\u0131kan bu bile\u015fik, standart depolama alanlar\u0131nda g\u00fcvenli \u015fekilde bertaraf edilebiliyor.
